Happy Holidays to all.
The leadership team of the Florida Health Care Summit wishes the happiest of holidays and an amazing new year to all of you from all of us.
As we watch our children and grandchildren explore the meaning of the holiday season, it would be good to give thought to those who find themselves in troubled times and less fortunate situations. Many of you will be visiting family and friends in hospitals across the state. Others may have children who have lost access to medical care because our leaders in Washington failed to fund the CHIP program. As Americans, we care about our neighbors and come to their aid when we can. Our Congress, on the other hand, failed to find a way to provide the funding necessary to ensure that 9 million children across the U.S. and nearly 375,000 children in Florida have access to the medical care they require. During this Christmas season, our leadership team is working to ensure that this situation does not continue and that every person in the state of Florida has access the best health care available in America today.
Our team is dedicated to serving the people of Florida by ensuring that our children, our elderly, and everyone in between has access to health care. We believe that health care is a human right. When we have accomplished our mission and health care is no longer an issue of concern in America, our Christmases will be much more merry and our New Years will be much happier.
In the meantime, we wish everyone the happiest holiday season ever.
